Daniel Dow was a Revolutionary War messenger whose name appears on the Iowa Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (IASSAR) monument which appears south of the Iowa State Capitol building in Des Moines, Iowa.

Daniel was born in April 1771 in Connecticut. He served as a messenger in a Company of Alarm of the 1st Militia Company, 5th Regiment, Coventry, Connecticut.

Daniel moved to Iowa in 1857 and died 07 February 1860 in Page County, Iowa.

The IASSAR is seeking all his genealogy/descendants to the present. I can be contacted at: Michael K. Mulford, President IASSAR, and I thank you for your assistance.
