Lorenzo Dow was from the Coventry, Conn. Dows. He was a self styled Methodist Minister who conducted many revivles through out the east and south. Many people who admired him evidently named their children for him. I have a gg grandpa who came from the South who was named Robert Dow England. It might indicate they were Methodist as mine were. This has been confusing to many people. There are many articles and books about this colorful character. He only had l child a girl who died young. Thank you for your response.
