In Reply to: HENRY DOW M. MARGARET COLE 1640 NJ by b.cole of 2066

What is your source for the date and location? What is the NJ connection in the subject line?

That is the same date that Henry Dow was granted a house lot in Hampton NH if he decided to move there. He was of Watertown MA at the time, and remained there until moving to Hampton in 1644. Margaret belonged to the first Church of Dedham. She was dismissed from the Dedham Church in 1643 because she had married Henry Dow of Watertown. His 1st wife died in April 1640. I know he married soon after his 1st wife died - and I know that Margaret had known Henry from when they both lived in Ormsby, England. I did not know the place and date of the marriage and would like the source of your information before I add it to my records.
