Well, funny, my grandfather was Richard Dow from the state of Washington! I know my grandmother's family was from Bellingham, so I'm assuming that my granddad was from the north western area as well. His family came to the LA area in the mid 1920's. I know I had a great uncle in the Torrance area, but my dad's family settled in the San Fernando Valley. I'll ask my dad about the names of his uncles. I know that one was named "Wren", but there were others. I think (?) he has an old family bible.
