I live south of Lamar Co in Alabama. My gg-grandfather was Benjamin Dove, son of Richard C. He would be the great uncle of Eckford. Eckfords father Benjamin was the son of William , brother of my Benjamin. I think some of William's family stayed at the old homestead in South Carolina.
