The Marriage of James Douglass and Margaret Elliot, around 1731 in Maine

In connection with my own pre-Rev roots, I have come upon James Douglass "of Penobscot, blacksmith" (two Hancock County deed in 1789) who is later calledJames Douglass "of Castine in the County of Hancock Blacksmith" (1809 Hancock Co probate document)
In one of the 1789 deeds the bought land in Castine from the son of a collateral kinswoman of mine, and in the 1809 probate document he is named executor for that same woman (Lydia Trott (Avery -first marriage) Doliver).
It is possible that he was her son-in-law, which, if so, I would dearly like to establish.
Perhaps this is James, the son of the one you are searching.
I can give you a few more details it you're interested.
Happy hunting,
Jim Trott
