My father, Leroy James Douglas, was born on 10/10/1919. He was prone to exageration, so I'm not sure what to believe. I am searching for family members.
He had stated;
- His parents died in an auto crash
- His father spent time in prison
- He was born into a large family
- One brother was killed as a child from a gunshot
- One brother or sister died by being impailed
- He was banned from the house as a child and lived in the garage (even through the winter)
- During the Depression, as a child, he would dress like girl and steal coal (cause they wouldn't get in trouble)
I am one of his daughers. Lynn is his other daughter. I am also told there was an older son from a previous marriage.
