Does anyone know the ancestry of these two men who (may have)accompanied Rev Samuel Swazey to Natchez Mississippi with a group of about 70 people from Chester, Morris Co NJ in 1773. Most accounts say the group was all related to Rev Swayze who m a Horton, but I suspect some were neighbors and friends. Slightly later in Natchez deeds, the names of Earl, David and Daniel Douglass show up. Joshua Douglass, Jr (d 1786)of Roxbury, Morris Co NJ (next to Chester)had sons named Archibald, Stephen, David and Daniel. Are these four brothers who went to Natchez with their minister or perhaps later with their mother? Who is Earl Douglass?
