Researching Charles Henry Douglas RN a Commander in the Coast Guard, posted to Wexford, Ireland in 1847. In 1844 he had married Elizabeth Page (born c. 1817). The couple had two sons, Edward and Arthur. Edward later made his living as an artist, predominantly painting hunting scenes, exhibiting for several years at the Royal Academy. Charles died before 1861, when Elizabeth is recorded in the census as a widow, living in London. If anyone, during research, has come across Charles Henry Douglas and his wife Elizabeth, and/ or their children/ parents, I would be most interested to get in touch and to share information
