PLEASANT Doughty, s/o William and grandson of Robert, was named with siblings JORDAN Doughty, HARRIET Doughty, JOHN Doughty,EMLY Doughty, and STERLING Doughty as heirs of Robert [Wilson Co Tn Trust Deeds, 82-83 [Partlow], April 22, 1842. Robert Doughty died 1845 Wilson County. William Doughty, the father of these children, was the brother of my ancestor Lorenzo D. Doughty. Since my leads on Robert and Lorenzo have dried up, I am now pursuing William's children for information. Found William's son, Pleasant Doughty in the 1860 Hamilton Co. Tn Census Index, Dist. 11, page 88. Also found Laura Doughty 1860 Hamilton Co Tn Dist 11, p88, and am assuming Laura is Pleasant's wife. I have not located his brothers and sisters.
Anyone researching these Doughtys? Any info appreciated; will share what I have.
