spotted on ebay.com Hope this helps someone.
Here are two neat old photos that have been mounted on advertising matts for the photographer. On the bottom of both photos it reads "Macy & Doughty, Norfolk, Neb." They are both by the same photographer, but they have different boards with different type of lettering. The one of the three women has the bottom center woman identified as "Cora Holt - 1888." The other photograph is identified on the back as "Lucy Holt Barnes - (Lucy Holt Barnes - sister of Cora May Holt Stilt) This one has blue ink used on the back and reads simply "Macy & Doughty Photographers - Norfolk, Neb." It has a neat garden type of image. The other is done with brown ink and like a artists palette with a lovely scene on it. Then it appears to be kind of outdoor borders and leaves. It reads "Duplicated can be procured anytime - Special attention give to all kinds of portraiture in crayon, ink, oil or water color. Macy & Doughty Photographers, Norfolk, Neb." They measure 6-1/2" tall by 4-1/4" wide. The one with the blue background has a special technique used on the front which is pretty hard at this early of photography development. The have imposed the woman's head and shoulders into what looks like a scroll with leaves and flowers in front. This is really a neat photo image with great special effects for this time period.
