My Doughty line moved to Franklin County, Ohio from New Brunswick (Canada) about 1847. The first generation in Ohio was William (b. 1815) and Margaret Flinn Doughty. Their 5 sons were Arthur b1840, William A. b1848, Alonzo b1850, James M. b1851, and Frank M. b1853. The obituary of William A. in 1914 said one of his survivors was a brother in Iowa, but didn't give the brother's name. I've found all the brothers except Alonzo with their wives and children in Franklin County. William and Margaret also had 4 daughters: Evelyn, Fidelia, Cecelia, Celista.
