Hello Bill,
I talked with the man who wrote that my Doughtys were descended from the Rev. Francis Doughty. He does have any proof or linnage from My Rueben ( Loudoun Co. Va) to Francis. However a reference to the Francis you are looking for can be found at URL http://www.familytreemaker.com/search.html search for Francis Doughtie because that is how it is spelled in the reference. This reference has Rev Francis's mother as Ann Parker. Here is the reference: Ancestors of Harry Clayton Hughes Generation No. 10 584. Francis Doughty, born 4 Nov 1605 in Oldsburg, Gloucester, England; died 2 Mar 1682/83 in Maryland. He was the son of 1168.Francis Doughtie and 1169. Ann Parker. He married 585. Bridget Stone.
585. Bridget Stone, born Abt. 1606 in Oldsburg, Gloucester, England. She was the daughter of 1170. ??? Stone.
