No problem....I, too, am sure there are many direct male descendants of the Rev. Francis out there....lots not involved in genealogy, and some, as you are, who don't need the findings of DNA. I know in other studies I've heard of, individuals who want to trace their OWN links will pay for known documented descendants to submit a cheek swab. This always seemed a good idea to me...after all, if you want the help of others you should be willing to pay them for something they, personally, aren't interested in doing.
I took part in a DNA study several years ago.....at the request of BYU, who is compiling a DNA bank of data and DNA. I sent 11 documented generations, and a cheek swab. This won't of course, be of any use to me, but I like thinking that in future generations, my DNA might be able to help others 'find' their family. Fascinating to think about.
