Hi Sue,you are right about that name being familiar funnily enough, but she is no longer known by her maiden name but her married name which is White.I don't know whether you know but you are living not far from my grandad's brother Albert Doughty who lives in Spencer Ave,Thurmaston.I also used to work in Thurmaston village until I had a stroke 2yrs ago.I have also been in contact with another Doughty member who is the ggg grandson of Charles Doughty who was born in Dover in 1885.I have also been told that there is blue blood in the family but don't know whether this is true.It could have something to do with Mary and her illegitimate children do you know anything about this?
