THOMAS DOUGHTIE-VA
Posted by: BECKY Date: January 30, 1999 at 13:14:50
  of 1425

Wanting to correspond with someone who has history on Thomas Doughtie. Does this article suggest that there were 2 different Thomas Doughty's? Father and Son?

The first of the name in the colony of Virginia was Thomas Doughtie, who arrived in the Marrigold, 1619. His wife, Ann, came in the Marmaduke, 1621. Thomas Doughtie and Ann Daughty Doughty, were living in Virginia at Martins Hundred, 16 Feb 1623. One Thomas Doughtie also shows at "Pierseys Hundred" follows: "The muster of Thomas Doughtie." The Muster of Inhabitants of Martins Hundred, taken 4 Feb. 1624: Thomas Doughtie, aged 26, came in the Abigail. (Hotten:pp181, 216, 233)
