I am looking for the parents and lineage of John Doughty who was born in 1767, location unknown but appears to have been in norther Virginia. He married Margarets Marks (Dau of Wm. Marks on Feb. 1, 1790 in Shannandoah Co, Va.
Their known Children were Wm. M. (1792), Thomas Lannon. (1796), Moses Crume (1804), John P. (1806), and Malvina (1866). John (the father) ultimately moved to Centerville In. where he died in 1842 at the age of 75. Moses Crume Doughty, My gr,gr, grandfather moved to Eaton Ohio and died in 1841. His remaining brothers moved on to Wayne County Indiana and settled in Centerville, where John P. Died. Wm. M. moved on to Springfield Ill and then returned to Henry County Indiana where he died in 1879. Thomas Lannon move to Warren Ill, where he died in 1865. I am trying to to trace my lineage prior to John (Sr.)
