The Dougherty lines I am following are from Daviess, Orange, & Lawrence counties. I, too, remember something about a grist mill, I will go through my files and try to find it. My husband remembers going for visits in the summer to Paoli and Shoals. His direct line is from Edward Dougherty 1878-1951, Edward's Father was Andrew Jackson Dougherty 1844-1915 who was in the civil war and I have his GAR Medal which we cherish. I have quite a bit of info on these Dougherty's as I have been doing this since 1978. I live in Indianapolis, and I am planning a trip to the counties I mentioned before this summer. Happy Hunting~
