1815 Hardin Co., KY - John DOUGHERTY m. Nancy MALONE
Posted by: Greg Boyd (ID *****8432) Date: March 22, 2004 at 08:15:41
  of 2100

Nancy MALONE and John DOUGHERTY/DAUGHERTY were licensed to marry in Hardin County, Kentucky on September 2, 1815. William C. MORRISON signed the bond along with John DOUGHERTY.

Am trying to find Nancy's family. There were no MALONEs in either the 1810 or 1820 Hardin Co. Censuses, but several of them in neighboring Washington County.

I think that Nancy and John are my ancestors. I believe that this Nancy was the first wife of John's and that Elizabeth Hoover was his second. John and Elizabeth DOUGHERTY are buried at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Hardin Co., near their daughter, Mary Ann MONIN and her husband.

In John's will, he mentions John, Jr., whom I'm 90% certain is my John H. DAUGHERTY who later moved to Cooke County, Texas. I think Nancy MALONE and this JOHN DOUGHERTY are his parents.

Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg Boyd
Norman, OK
