Hello! I have found LIVING Family for "Jack" aka John Vincent Doucette and his offspring!
John is the son of John M. Doucette and Effie May Hill.
John M. is the son of John R. Doucette and Jane Brewer.
John R. Doucette is the son of James Doucett and Mary Hawley/Howley.
and James is the son of Matthew Doucet and a MiqMaq woman possible "McNeil".
Jack did have a twin Mary or Marie adopted by MacDonalds and taken to Baltimore Maryland.
We have also been told there is the possiblity of more siblings..which would makes sense as the parents were married in 1913 and John and Marie were born in 1920, a 7 yr gap.
We have been told that John partook in one of the Cross Canada races, common back then, but had to turn back when Effie became ill with her pregnancy...all we were told is that she died in childbirth. We have no record of what become of John M. ?Matthew?.
If anyone has any information on John and Effie OR any more offspring of this elusive couple, it would be greatly appreciated.
