Howard:Thanks so much.We found the Will of Jospeph Ayers, and joseph and Esther had four offspring, the oldest, Azaraih Ayers, had already married and Moved to Mercer CO, KY when Joseph and Esther moved to Washington CO, PA. "Azariah Ayers of Gibson CO, IN" is named in the May 1820 will of Joseph as "my oldest son", but was apparently missed in all the early Doty recollections and manuscripts. Until last week, we were not aware Joseph had served in the REV War.We are still looking to connect the dots in these lines, but it seems probably that Azariah Ayers was named after Esther's brother, Azariah Doty. One mystery we are looking into, is the appearance of a Joseph and "Easter" Ayers in Mercer CO, KY in the late 1790s.There was a different Joseph there, who removed to TN In about 1807, but we are unsure of relationships, if any, or even if our Joseph and Esther might have spent a short while there. Thanks for the response. We are posting our findings on a public tree at SOME AYERS AND KIN on ancestry.Warm Regards, Brock
