Crane-Doty connections

I searched the indexes of Ethan Allen Doty's "The Doty-Doten Family" and the Pilgrim Edward Doty Society genealogy, but could not find the Daniel Doty who settled Linn County or his nephew Jacob Crane. I did notice that according to the fragment of Crane genealogy I sent you yesterday, Elizabeth Crane's daughter Serepta Doty married her uncle Aretas Crane. This seems too incestuous to be true. What can you tell me about this and other Crane-Doty connections? Thank you for the information on the children and grandchildren of Eunice Doty. I will be adding this to the genealogy of Edward Doty's descendants I'm building in Familypedia when I get the time. The Pilgrim Edward Doty Society genealogy is simply a compilation of information provided by members of the society and is intended as a guide for further research, not a source of verified information. Still, putting Sioux City in South Dakota is rather egregious.
