Regarding Daniel Doty of Middletown, OH see: http://genealogy.wikia.com/wiki/Daniel_Doty_%281765-1848%29 His descent from Edward Doty of the Mayflower is: Ed-Sam-Joseph-John-Daniel.
Here is a web site about the "Doty Settlement" in Oxford Township, Butler County, Ohio: http://www.orgs.muohio.edu/oxfordmuseumassociation/Properties/Doty3.html The Samuel Doty mentioned in this article is descended from Edward Doty of the Mayflower as follows: Ed-Sam-Sam-John-Sam-Sam-Jesse-Samuel
You mention elsewhere that Eunice Doty is your g/g/g/grandmother. Here is what I know about her: http://genealogy.wikia.com/wiki/Eunice_Doty_%28%3F-%3F%29 , which isn't much. If you follow the links you can see what I know of other Doty relatives. My descent from Edward of the Mayflower is Ed-Sam-Sam-John-Sam-Sam-Stephen-Franklin-Sylvester-Kenneth-Dennis. Thus your g/g/g/g/g grandfather Samuel Doty (c1733-1817) is my g/g/g/g/g/g grandfather, and we are sixth cousins once removed. I would be interested to know more about Eunice Doty and her descendants, and any other information on our family that is not represented in the Familypedia articles I have entered. You can see what I have entered by going to genealogy.wikia.com and looking up Doty in the surname index. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
