They say that when she died, Elizabeth HULL didn't look a day older than 111 (attempt at humor there...emphasis on "attempt"). - Actually, I won't claim to know anything about my DOTY lineage. I am willing to accept what better genealogists have done, like the Mayflower Society. - At the moment I am interested in the Daniel DOTY name. They say that he started Middletown, Ohio. Here is a page on an early cemetery (in Middletown) that was allowed to erode into the Miami River... http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohbutcem/LemonTwpCem/RiversideCem/RiversideCem.HTM - I have also been looking at the "DOTY Settlement Cemetery" in Oxford, Ohio (thirty miles west of Middletown, both of which are in Butler Co). I also have found a river journey by DOTY's (into Linn Co, IA) that more-or-less matches a 1927 obituary by a CRANE relative of mine, whose mother-in-law was Eunice DOTY. - I find it interesting that there is 27 years difference in age between Serring and Eunice DOTY. If 1802 is the correct birth date for Eunice, she was only 14 when her first child was born...which isn't impossible, but unlikely. You've no doubt seen this site, a DUNLAP/DOTY page on Ancestry: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2540298&id=I531431021 That site gives Eunice's birthdate as ca 1795. - Guess that boxes me into a corner. Good luck with your search. Notify Administrator about this message?
