Thanks for the reply. I have the pages from the Doty book which the Mayflower Society sent me. I am descended from Freelove's brother John, so it is primarily the origins of the parents Nehemiah Vail and Mary Archer which I am trying to find. They are both said to be from Westchester Co. New York, but other than that clue, I am stuck. I have two possible candidates for Mary. One is the dau. of John Archer and Elizabeth Valyntin, and the other is their dau in law, the wife of their son Abraham. Nehemiah may possibly be the son of Isaac or Arthur Vail whose father was Thomas Vail of the second generation.
