Hi Richard, In order to do genealogy the right way you have to start with yourself or someone else in your family that you do have all the info for, in this case look on your father's birth certificate and see where his father was born and also check out his mother's maiden name, and if you are lucky you may have them all in the same place, if so go to the town / city clerk and find out when they were born, if they aren't there find out the state that they were born in and if not to far go there. also if your father is still living ask him about them or even your aunts or uncles if you have any. if you find out any ifno and go back far enough then maybe just maybe I can help you as I have got five Doty books. e-mail with any info that you find out.
