I am descendant from a Doty family in the Toronto area and am looking for any information that might match up with what I have.
My father, Kenneth William Doty was born in Toronto, Ontario and died in London, Ontario on March 31, 1993. He was the son of Frederick Lyman Doty born Oct 8, 1894 died 1978 in Toronto and Reta Crawford, born 21 Feb, 1902 died 1992 in Toronto.
I have not found Frederick in and Census records but have found his WWI recruitment papers which list him as living at 60 Close Ave, Toronto (now an apartment building), his mother's name Mandene Doty and a bookbinder by trade.
Reta Crawford was the daughter of William J Crawford, born August 28, 1876 and Emily, born August 8, 1878 as per the 1911 census.
Is there anyone out there who knows this lineage?
