I am seeking information on the children and family of James M. Doty. He was born in 1809 in Middletown, Ohio the son of Daniel Doty and Elizabeth Crane. He came to Linn County with his brother Elias about 1840. He married Susan Anderson and had the following children.

Joel P Doty - B. 1834
Sarah E Doty - B. 1836, Married Thomas B. Miller
Ruth Anne Doty - B. 1838, Married George Dale
Elias Doty - B. 1841
Daniel Doty - B. 1844
Jerusha J. Doty - Married Hiram J. Mcmanus.

James M. Doty died in Linn County, Iowa in 1847. I am descended from Sarah E. Doty.
