i have 8 children for cornelius.not listed in correct order of birth
cornelius, b 25 july 1824, athens, oh d. 4 may 1893 in dalif. he wasin Mexican war and civil war,i have he m. in 1848, but no wife's name

m james belcher. she was b. 12 nov. 1819 in butler co. oh.m 17 aug 1837, as her 1st husband.she m 2d to benjamin roberts 16 Apr 1848, in polo, whiteside co., il. he d 29 nov. 1882 in freeport, stevenson co., il.belcher d. 13 apr. 1846 in dodgeville, wis.

james b. ca. 1807/08, d. 14 may, 1832, stillman valley, il, scalped by indians in black hawk war at stillman valleyhe is buried there with 9 others young soldiers who were drinking when the indians attacked.abraham lincoln was in the troop and helped to bury the ten all in a row at the cemetery in stillman valley.a historian there says that james has not been found, but that he is sure he knows where his body lies and hopes to get permission to dig for his remains and get him in his proper burial place there.
