Craig, here is the same information I posted earlier, but with all of the details that I have at the moment (this is from my personal files only). Hope this gives you everything you need!:-)
First Generation
----------------------------------------
1. Edward Doty/Dotey. Bornabt 1599 in England. Edward died in Yarmouth, New Jersey on 23 Aug 1655, he was 56.
"The Mayflower Descendant," Vol. 42, No. 2, July, 1991, page 188 says, "Edward Doty was one of the more interesting of the Pilgrims from a human-interest point of view. He arrived as a servant to Stephen Hopkins, and it is thought that he might have lost his first wife to an epidemic fever in 1633. he married again, however, and had nine children, but their births seem to have evaded the record-keepers more than most. The compilers of [Mayflower Families in Progress, Doty 1991] are to be contratulated for piecing together what has to be one of the most difficult of the Mayflower families to interprety, for this family seems to have had a proclivity toward indiscretions such as pre-marital conceptions. Church and court sanctions for fornication (#3); killing and stealing sheep (#4); illegitimacy (#9); "being guilty in sin" (#43), for example, show that this was not the most typical Plymouth family, but they do help to identify the participants.
Edward married Faith Clark.
They had the following children:
i. Edward. Bornabt 1637 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. Edward died in Plymouth, Massachusetts on 8 Feb 1689/0, he was 52.

abt 1674 when Thomas was 35, he first married Mary Churchill.
On 4 Dec 1678 when Thomas was 39, he second married Mary.
iii. John. Bornabt 1641 or 1642 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. John died in Plymouth, Massachusetts on 8 May 1701, he was 60.
abt 1667 when John was 26, he first married Elizabeth Cooke.
On 22 Nov 1694 when John was 53, he second married Sarah Jones, in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
2 iv. Samuel (1) (~1643-1715)
v. Desire. Born in 1645 or 1646 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. Desire died in Marshfield, Massachusetts on 22 Jan 1730/1, she was 85.
On 25 Dec 1667 when Desire was 22, she first married William Sherman, in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
On 24 Nov 1681 when Desire was 36, she second married Israel Holmes, in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
abt 1686 when Desire was 41, she third married Alexander Standish.
vi. Elizabeth. Bornabt 1649 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. Elizabeth diedaft 1705, she was 56.

vii. Isaac. Born on 8 Feb 1648/49 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. Isaac died in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York in 1728, he was 79.
abt 1673 when Isaac was 24, he married Elizabeth England.
viii. Joseph. Born on 30 Apr 1651 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. Joseph died in Rochester, New Yorkabt 1732, he was 80.
abt 1674 when Joseph was 22, he first married Deborah Ellis.
On 5 Mar 1711/2 when Joseph was 59, he second married Sarah Woodlin Edwards, in Rochester, New York.
ix. Mary. Bornabt 1653 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts.
aft 10 Jul 1677 when Mary was 24, she married Samuel Hatch.
Second Generation
----------------------------------------
2. Samuel (1) Doty. Bornabt 1643 or 1644 in Plymouth, on the High Cliff, Massachusetts. Samuel (1) died in 1715, he was 72.
Some of Ethan Allen Doty's notes about Samuel are as follows:
He is first mentioned on the records of Plymouth, January 1st, 1667/68, as one of a coroner's jury in an inquest of a child kept by John Smalley, Sr., of Eastham, on Cape Cod, which had been found dead in the wods. His name there is written, Samuel Doten. In the same year, 1668, July 16, it is recorded the 'Samuel Dotey of Eastham in the government of New Plymouth, in New England' conveys to Benajhah Dunham of the said town of Eastham for a consideration of 8 [sign for pounds], 'all his upland and meadow land in the township of Dartmouth in the government of New Plymouth, which was granted to said Samuel Dotey, as his dividend by the will of his father, Edward Dotey, deceased, and in said Dartmouth, commonly known as Coaksett.' This deed is signed Samuel Dotey.
[There are a couple of more mentions of Samuel's name in records of the courts in Cape Cod.]
No further mention of Samuel Doty appears in the records of Plymouth or vicinity. ... The next mention of Samuel Doty is in the town records of Piscataway, Middlesex County, N.J., where in 1675 he was commissioned Lieutenant of the military company of New Piscataway, of which Francis Drake was Captain, his commission being renewed in 1678.
...1682, his name is in list of freeholders. From 1678 to 1696, his name appears in frequent deeds as a purchaser of lands in the vicinity. ...
...In the year 1707 [Edmond Dunham] formed a congregation of Seventh Day Baptists, and was appointed its first pastor....
The first record of members of the Seventh Day Baptist Church of Piscataway is not dated, but was apparently made, 1707, or previously, and in it appear the names of Samuel Doty and john Doty, his son.
....
Samuel Doty may possibly have spent some of his early days on the sea as several of his brothers did, but it is probable that he generally found his occupation on the land, and that he was on Cape Cod, as he certainly was in New Jersey, a farmer. There is nothing to indicate that he had other occupation. ...
It is evident from the record that he was intelligent, industrious and thrifth, a man of ability and authority, as appears by his selection as Lieutenant of the military company soon after his arrival at Piscataway, and yet of blameless life, an affectionate husband and father, and a consistent member of the church. (pp. 276-282)
On 15 Nov 1678 when Samuel (1) was 35, he married Jane Harmon, in Piscataway, New Jersey.
They had the following children:
i. Samuel (2). Born on 27 Aug 1679 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
ii. John. Bornabt 1680 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
iii. Sarah. Born on 2 Mar 1681/82 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
iv. Isaac. Born on 12 Aug 1683 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
v. Edward (2). Born on 14 May 1685 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
vi. James. Born on 17 Sep 1686 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
vii. Jonathan. Born on feb 24, 1687/88 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
3 viii. Benjamin (1) (1691-~1746)
ix. Elizabeth. Born on 26 Feb 1695 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
x. Joseph. Born on 30 Oct 1696 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
xi. Daniel. Born on 9 Mar 1701/02 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
xii. Margaret. Born on 5 Mar 1704/05 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
xiii. Nathaniel. Bornabt 1707/08 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Third Generation
----------------------------------------
3. Benjamin (1) Doughty. Born on 14 May 1691 in Piscataway, New Jersey. Benjamin (1) died in Princeton, Middlesex County, New Jerseyabt Apr 1746, he was 54.
Ethan Allen Doty says of the change in spelling from Doty to Doughty: "It is not to be wondered at that this generation of Dotys in New Jersey, surrounded by the more English families and influences, having lost all knowledge of the emigration of its ancestor from Cape Cot, should have assumed that in some way the name had been corrupted, and that they were of the same origin as thier neighbors of the Doughty family." p. 279.
Identified at time of marriage as "of Flushing, carpenter."
"In 1725 they lived in Burlington County, New Jersey. On 20 March 1739, he was appointed guardian of Samuel Stockton, an orphan of 15 years. ...His will, dated March 11, 1746, shows that Benjamin Doughty of Princetown, Middlesex County, New Jersey, victualler, wills to his wife Abigail and his son Benjamin all his property. Thomas and James Leonard of Somerset County, executors."
[Samuel was the son of Abigail's cousin, Amy Whitehead Stockton.]
The will of Benjamin Doughty of Princetown, Middlesex Co., N.J. [unclear word: _ich__er], dated 11 Mar., proved 2 May 1746, names wife Abigail and son Benjamin (2).[Mayflower Families in Progress: Edward Doty of the Mayflower and His Descendants for Four Generations, ed. Peter B. Hill, 2nd Edition, 1993, p. 35]
In Apr 1720 when Benjamin (1) was 28, he married Abigail Whitehead, daughter of Jonathan Whitehead & Sarah Field, in Jamaica, Queens, Long Island, New York. Born in 1670 in Jamaica, New York.
They had the following children:
4 i. Benjamin (2) (~1721-1780)
ii. Susannah.
A reverence for Susannah is NJ Archives 22:119.
On 20 Nov 1761 Susannah married Daniel Leonard, son of Thomas Leonard, in Middlesex County, New Jersey.
Probably the son of Susannah's stepfather, Thomas Leonard.
iii. Hannah.
iv. Deborah.
Fourth Generation
----------------------------------------
4. Benjamin (2) Doughty. Bornabt 1721 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Benjamin (2) died in Orange County, New York in 1780, he was 59.
Ethan Allen Doty, pg. 299 ff: A deed on record at Goshen, the county seat of Orange County, NY, but filed there probably about 1820, is as follows: '1725, October 8, Jonathan Whitehead of Jamaica, Queens County, NY, in consideration of the love, affection and good will I bear my grandson Benjamin Doughty, son of my daughter Abigail Doughty, now ye wife of Benjamin Doughty of ye County of Burlington in West Jersey,' conveys to him a certain tract of land at a place called Minisink in counties of Ulster and Orange, which said lot is known by number thirty four, formerly laid out and surveyed by Philip Rokeby as part of his patent.
'In the "Calendar of New York Colonial Manuscripts," endoerse "Land Papers," in the office of the Secretary of State of New York, appears, 1765, September 2, Petition of Benjamin Doughty of the County of Ulster, for a grant and confirmation of a lot in Minisink Angle.
'Again in the records of Ulster County, New York, dated 1771, January 3, whereas, Jonathan Whitehead of Jamaica, Queens County, did purchase, February 17, 1720, of Elizabeth Compton, formerly widow of Philip Rokeby, a certain lot in the Wallkill, containing aboaut 1000 acres and did convey the same by deed of gift to his grandson Benjamin Doughty, the latter sells a part of the lot to Stacy Beakes. This deed is signed by Benjamin Doughty and Rachel, his wife, and witnessed by Joseph Horner, James Hill, Mary Horner and Benjamin Doughty, Jr.
'Other deeds, similarly signed, follow: 1777, October 7, to Joseph Howell for 100 [sign for pounds]. 1778, August 15 to Andrew Clark McNish for 170 [sign for pounds]. 1779, September 4, to Berzalael Seely, 250 acres for 6,300 [siogn for pounds], Continental currency. 1779, November 30, to John Everett, 8 acres.'
In a 1933 version of Mayflower Families in Progress (pink paperback) other sources listed for this generation of Doughties are [Proc NJHS 3rd series 2:75-80-Proceedings of the NJ Hist Soc], [NYGBR 33:102-3--New York Gen & Biog Record] & [NJ notes--Gardiner, Chas C "Notes on the Gen Dict of NJ," unpaged, alphabetical].
abt 1739 when Benjamin (2) was 18, he first married Rachel, in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Rachel diedbetw 1740 and 1747.
Rachel's name is recorded as Benjamin's wife of a deed dated 3 January 1771, Ulster Co. NY Records. [Mayflower Families in Progress: Edward Doty of the Mayflower and His Descendants for Four Generations, ed. Peter B. Hill, 2nd Edition, 1993, p. 124.]
They had one child:
5 i. Benjamin (3) (~1740-1802)
On feb 13 1747/48 when Benjamin (2) was 26, he second married Lydia Mundin, in Middlesex County, New Jersey.
Fifth Generation
----------------------------------------
5. Benjamin (3) Doty. Bornabt 1740 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Benjamin (3) died in Sussex County, New Jersey on 18 Nov 1802, he was 62.
Ethan Allen Doty says, on the return of the spelling Doty, "It is probably that the events of the Revolution served to bring back the original spelling; the Dotys of this family in every case championing the cause of the Colonies, while many of the more loyal Doughty family stood by the mother country in the quarrel, and this separation of interests led perhaps to the distinction of the names." p. 279.
"Notwithstanding that several of the descendants of Benjamin Doty have ascribed an eastern origin and residence to him, the evidence seems plain and conclusive that he was the son of Benjamin Doughty, and grandson of the Benjamin Doughty who married Abigail Whtehead, and who lived at Princeton, N. J. The gift of land by Jonathan Whitehead to his grandson, in the Minisink Angle, led the latter, after his marriage and before the Revolutionary War, to settle there, and the records show him to have been a resident there, 1765 to 1779. The Wallkill and Minisink regions are in the present Orange County, N. Y., and adjoin the town of Wantage in Sussex county, N. H., where his cousins, Micajah and John Doty, sons of Isaac, were living, aabout the same time.
"It seems plain that Benjamin Doty, who was living in 1800 at Wantage, and whose name appears in deeds there at that time, had resided there or in the immediate vicinity for many years, having come there with his father, probably as early as 1760. This is further confirmed by the fact that his children appear in many deeds on the Orange County, New York, records, as sellers of portions of the Minisink properties, and it is apparently to enforce nd verify their titles that the deed of gift of Jonathan Whitehead, in 1725, to his grandson is filed in 1820 or thereabouts in the records of Orange County, New York. For instance: 2797, Isaac Doty of Minisink, mortgages part of Lot 9, first division, etc., 197 acres for 600 pounds. 1800, Benjamin Doty of Minisink, mortgages lots, part of Lot 9, for 481 pounds. 1804, Nathaniel Doty and Abigail sell lots in No. 10.1809, Isaac Doty and Elizabeth, his wife, mortgage part of his farm 50 acres in Lot 9.
"In 1802, November 18, letters of administration were granted to Mary Doty and Isaac Doty on the estate of Benjamin Doty of Sussex County, N. J. From this it is inferred that Mary Doty was his widow, as Isaac was his oldest son." Doty, Ethan Allen, "Doty-Doten Family," 1897.
IN the 1993 version of Mayflower Families in Progress (pink paperback) citations for Benjamin {3} are Doty Gen p. 299; Doty Fam p.40; Ulster Co NY Recs deed dated 3 Jan 1771.
abt 1755 when Benjamin (3) was 15, he married Mary, in ?Wantage, New Jersey. Mary diedbef 1811 in Sussex County, New Jersey.

Silas Doty, John's son, came west with a small colony, makng the trip down the Ohio river on a flatboat and landing at Cincinnati. From Cincinnati he came to Franklin county, Indiana. It is possible that John came with them at the same time. This would have been in 1820 at the latest, and probably by sometime in 1819, before his son Benjamin's marriage.
Birth date is estimated from the census.
There is a John Doty in the l820 Census, Franklin County, Indiana, who is likely this same John Doty, who was living in Franklin County, Brookville Township, Indiana. Nathaniel and his wife were living close by. (D-CEN 11)
On July l5, l822, John purchased l34 acres of land in Franklin County, Indiana, from Hendley Middleton [copy of deed located in D-DED 5]. On January l4, l826 he sold some of this land to Benjamin Doty (his brother) [Copy of deed located in D-DED 6] and some to Joshua Doty (his son) [copy of deed located in D-DED 7]. On January 17, 1826, he sold the rest of the land to Artemas Riker [copy of deed located in D-DED 8]. (Copy of Deed Index pages, D-DED 3 and 4)
In l834 John purchased about l2.5 acres of land from William Surface in Johnson County, Indiana. (A copy of the deed if located at D-DED l)
The 1840 Census, Johnson County in Indiana, includes a John Doty family. It may not be this John Doty, because it lists twofemale from 20-29twenties (which could be Elizabeth and Hester if they were born at least 3-5 years earlier than the estimated dates that were given me for their births), and a male in that same age range, who could be the unnamed boy listed here. (D-CEN l4)
John definitely is not in any Indiana Census in l850.

"Silas Doty...a New Yorker by birth. When a young, unmarried man [about 1845 according to one descendant, but this is long after his marriage] Silas Doty came west with a small colony, makng the trip down the Ohio river on a flatboat and landing at Cincinnati. From Cincinnati he came to Franklin county, Indiana, at an early day and settled in Highland township. The lady whom he afterward married came down the river in the same boat with him. It was soon after their marriage that he located in Highland township, entering a large tract of land and devoting his energies during the following years to its improvement and cultivation. Here he died at the ripe age of eighty-eight years. He was a consistent and active member of the Primitive Baptist church, as also was his wife, she, too, being a native of the Empire state. Politically he was a Jackson Democrat, and while he took a commendable interest in public affairs he never aspired to office. He was in the war of 1812. His only child was Jeremiah, the father of [John A. Doty]." ["Biographical and Genealogical History of Wayne, Fayette, Union and Franklin Counties, Indiana. Chicago: The Lewis Publishing company, 1899. Vol. II, pp. 1031-1032.]
Next door to his son Jeremiah, Silas appears on the 1850 census, Franklin County, Indiana: Silas, Phebe, Judith Heiler (age 20), Abrame Heiler (11) and Cornelius Blackhorn (age 11). It appears that he had married Phebe after Judith's death, and that Phebe was a widow with, perhaps, an eleven year old son, Cornelius, and a 20 year old daughter, Judith, who had a son Abrame. These are only conjectures from the information on the census. [D-CEN 2]
