your message is full of information. Where did you get the information for the first 4 generations? Do you know who Catherine's father was? Very curious about her last name being so close to her husbands middle name!

Catherine's son George (Dotts) Datz, even tho it doesn't show, evidently had (or used) his mother's last name (Bostian) for his middle name! Our George Boston Dotts was indeed in MD before showing up in Jefferson Co. Va's 1810 census. In the Berkeley Co. VA (now W-VA) 1820 Fed. Census both Boston and George are listed (97A) I have been unable to find Boston in a 1790 census and now I know I have been mispelling and should have maybe used Bostian and Datz! Always like new information.
