Help with Dotta Family in California?

I am helping my wife's friend document her late husband's family. Charles Henry "Red" Barrett, a professional baseball player, was born Feb. 14, 1915 in Santa Barbara, CA. He was the son of Joseph Warren Barrett and Josephine Dotta.

Joseph Warren Barrett was supposedly born on Dec. 25, 1887 in Santa Barbara.

Josephine was born on March 31, 1887 and died on May 7, 1974 in Ventura. Her sister, Madeline Ramona, was born August 7, 1898 and died Oct. 22, 1989 in Ventura; Madeline married a Fenn.

Josephine and Madeline's parents were Joseph Dotta and Eliza (Alice) Foxen. Joseph was supposedly born in 1883 in Switzerland and died in 1908 in Santa Barbara; the birth date is questionable because he would have been 14 years old when Josephine was born.

Alice Foxen was also married to LeLand El Roy Tripps. The 1920 Census notes that Alice, listed as the wife of Roy Tripps, was 54 years old. Alice apparently was the daughter of Jose Reyes Foxen and Francisa Rodriquez.

If anyone could provide more information about these folks, I would be most appreciative.
