Jim, Mary Davison, daughter of John and Margaret Davison of York County, SC married Enoch Doster. She was named by father in his LW & T written in 1813 and filed for probate on January 30, 1815 in York Co. SC. 1820 and 1830 Census of York Co. SC records Enoch Doster with 10 children. I have names for 8 of the children. Had a female born about 1827/1828 with no name. This could be your Mary E.born Dec. 23, 1828 SC. I have names of Margaret Amanda, Elizabeth, Martha, John, James, George, Jane and William David Doster. My husband is from Charles W. Davidson, the youngest child of John and Margaret Davison of York Co. SC. He came to Shelby Co. AL about 1852 and died 1854 in Shelby Co. AL. Married Lucinda Alexander of York Co. SC and had 12 children. He also named his first daughter Margaret Amanda. My husband James Russell Davidson son of Franklin Howard Davidson who was son of Thomas Cheatham Davidson who was son of James Edward Rufus Davidson who was son of Charles W. and Lucinda Alexander Davidson. John Davison (Davidson) who died 1814 York Co. SC was married to Ruth first and then to Margaret. He is Revolutionary War Patriot. See DAR Patriot Index. I believe there are SAR also on his record. I have lots of info on this family proving the 13 children and their families. Have found the name spelled with and without the "d" in SC and Alabama. Contact me for more info.
