Elizabeth Doss was the daughter of James Ayres Doss & his wife Sarah "Arabella" (Hundley) Doss who settled in Smith (now Macon) Co., TN in the early 1820's (abt 1824). The chancery court papers prove that Elizabeth Doss was his child and even name her Adams children that settled in Marion Co., IL. Will be glad to exchange information, also I know of James Adams and his first wife Dr. Lydia Ann (Doss) Adams, who was the aunt of Elizabeth.
