Rootsweb has added a new utility to help us find our ancestors. Go to
http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/d/o/DOSS/
to search several different databases for Doss ancestors (similar sites exist for all other common names.)
In addition, a new Doss mail list has been created. To subscribe, send a one-word e-mail message to:
DOSS-L-request@rootsweb.com
send only one word: subscribe
(if you prefer the digest version of the list, send e-mail to
DOSS-D-request@rootsweb.com)
We are in the process of creating a new website that will incorporate these changes and also provide more information for Doss researchers. It will come on line within a few days. I will post a notice here when it is available.
For Doss Family Association members: the newsletter is FINALLY with the printer and will be out to you within the next few days. I apologize for the delay. When you get it you will understand why it took so long: it is 48 pages of facts about our earliest and most confusing Doss ancestors.
