Wilhem Frederick DOSS, known as William in the USA, was born about 1854 in or near, Berlin, Germany. He married Wilhemine H. DOERING about 1872 in Germany and they were the parents of 1. Frank F. (1873-195), born near Berlin and married Nina STERN; and 2. Anna Mary DOSS, born in 1882 near Berlin and died at Portland, OR. The William DOSS family emigrated to Whiteside Co., IL, about 1884 and were the parents of more children: 3. Ida M., born ca 1885; 4. Max C. (1889-1949) born and died in Whiteside Co., IL, mar Mollie TJARKS, then Inger DAHLER; 5. and Albert W. (1891-1959), born in IL and died at Waterloo, IA, mar Henrietta M. L. PANTHEN.
William's wife, Wilhemine, died in 1894 and he moved his family to Polk Co., AR, and from there to Iowa. Touch with him was lost in Hardin or Palo Alto County, Iowa, about 1932. He may have moved to Illinois or Arkansas...
