Hi,

We have this information in the Doss Family Association database:
Pittsylvania Co. Mar. Bk. 2: Jan. 23, 1889, Wm. H. Doss & Sarah C. East, he, 31, son of "William and Martha Doss," she 22, daughter of Elizabeth East.

I think he is the same person who earlier married Martha H. Angel on 13 Aug 1871 in Pittsylvania. There's some confusion here because there are multiple records of Williams with wives named Martha and Sarah. I'll tell you more if you'd like.

We believe that older William was born ca. 1850 to William Doss and Martha Baliss. That William was the son of yet another William and Martha pair. Did I lose you yet?
