Just saw this post. If you're still there, I have information on Zacheus Doss and Polina "Lina" White.
Zacheus as the son of Philip Doss and Celia Reed. Zacheus was born ABT 1832 in Floyd Co. VA and died BEF 1868, according to the RootsWeb World Connect Project: Becky Falin's Genealogy Database.
"Zackey" had eight siblings: William Chapman, Terry Bluford, George Washington, Luticia, Olivia, Nancy, Evaline and Charlotte.
Polina was born about March 1837 in Logan Co. VA/WV and died on 10/1/1913 in Logan Co. WV, according to her WV death record. She married Maltraver McDonald in about 1868, after Zacheus died.
Polina and Zacheus had four children:
1) Nancy A., born about 1860 and died on 1/7/1931 in Logan Co. WV, according to WV death certificate. She married William Watson Conley on 12/20/1878, according to WV marriage record. Polina was listed as a widow on her death certificate, meaning that William Conley died before 1931.
2) Susannah Doss, born about 1837. Death date unknown.
3) Philip Chapman Doss, born on 1/26/1856 in Giles Co. VA and died on 6/16/1939 in Logan Co. VA, according to WV death certificate.
4) Allen M. Doss, born about 1863 and died before 1942. He married Littie Delila McNeely, who died on 8/15/1942 in Logan Co. WV. She was listed as a widow at the time of her death, meaning that Allen had already died.
