My grandfather was James D Doss, b. 4 Nov 1896 in Lee Cty, Vir. and married to Rosa Lee Bishop-Roberts-Doss.
My g-grandfather was Steven Andrew Doss, b. abt 1869, TN. and married to Annie Turner.
My dad, Gerald Calvin Doss (b. 1935, Jackson, KY) met an old cousin, Ed Doss in FL years ago who had researched our Doss name back to 1624 Roanoak, Vir (from Holland, and maybe Spain before that).
Ed said both Steven A and Annie T had Indian blood: Cherokee; I remember there should be a Billy Doss soon before Andrew; maybe involvement in a big Fued in KY? Possible Jewish blood in Holland... Who are Andrew and Annie's parents, etc.!!
