Thank you so much for your help and suggestions of the two Sarah Dosses (daughter of James and daughter of Ambrose) of Cumberland Co. KY. This at least gives me some idea of where to search. I will also search for Ann and Sarah Thurman. I will certainly post any information that I can find. I do believe that Ambrose sounds like the most likely one since I don't find that name for any of the earlier Petermans. Ty's question about Riley is a good one because I don't find any other Petermans named Riley prior to William Riley. However, Ambrose Peterman named one of his sons Sib Riley and William Riley had a grandson and great grandson named Riley.
