I am also a descendant of George W. Peterman and his wife Sarah Doss throught the son William Riley Peterman who married Susan V. (Ver?) Stone. Where do you get the middle initial M? Anyway, their son Richard Tinsley "Tin" Peterman married first Martha Green - only child Dora Peterman Green, my great great grandmother. Love to get any info. on the Doss family. I notice from another query that there was a Doss family in Allen County KY which is just a little skip to the northwest of the area where our George W. Peterman lived. Also, your Rutha Peterman who married Micajah Stone is throwing me for a loop! I descend from Richard Stone and his wife Martha "Patsy" Tinsley through the daughter Susan V. who married William Riley Peterman (Like you), and I also descend from the son Micajah S. who married first Ruth(a) Martin, daughter of Willet Martin of Jackson County - I'm pretty certain of this as are other Stone researchers. Micajah married a second time to Sarah Green. What is your source for Rutha Peterman marrying Micajah Stone? The Upper Cumberland Stones can be very confusing, but I and two ladies in Burkesville, KY have worked thorught a lot of the various names and versions (and a lot of the previous versions are plain wrong) and I haven't seen a Rutha Peterman married to a Stone.
