Sarah Doss and George Washington Peterman lived in Overton Co. TN. I don't have a date or place of marriage, but George W. Peterman came to Overton Co. in 1806. It is my understanding that there were 6 children born in this marriage, but I only have names of three. George W. Peterman had a total of 26 children with 4 wives. Sarah Doss was the fourth wife. The children:
Ambrose Peterman, b. Nov. 9, 1826 in Overton Co. TN, d. July 14, 1916 in Overton Co. TN. Married (1) Martha Stone and (2) Nancy Watson.
William Riley Peterman, b. Jan. 6, 1831 in Overton Co. TN, d. Nov. 6, 1913 in Clay Co. TN, marrried Susan M. Stone.
Rutha Peterman, b. 1833 in Overton Co. TN. Married Micajah Stone (brother of Susan M. Stone).
I don't have any other information regarding Sarah Doss so I don't know if she remarried and had other children.
