I am seeking the parents and siblings of Mattie Doss b abt 1876 (census) in Kansas. She married James Rentfrow 1896 in Hermitage, Hickory, Missouri. The marriage certificate says she was from Lone Spring. The puzzling thing is there are no records of the Doss surname in Hickory county. Mattie and James were in Sparks, Nevada from abt 1900 to 1915 when they moved to Hollister, San Benito, California. He drowned there in 1925 and I loose Mattie about this time.
