It does ring a bell, however, I must check the files at the historical office. I will do that next week. I have a copy of Edward's pension application in that file. As I recall he says, without naming him, he had a brother at the Battle of King's Mountain with him. Some researchers think it was William Dorton, Jr. I don't think so. It's most likely Moses Dorton. William Jr. was in the Kentucky Wilderness fighting Indians. There is documentation of that.
