Thanks for the reply. I, too, am fairly new in researching genealogy. Unfortunately, I do not believe my Thomas is connected to yours. My Thomas was born ca. 1848 in FL. The family apparently moved back and forth between Washington County FL and Decatur County GA in the 1840s & 1850s. They eventually settled in Washington County FL. All census data indicate that they were farmers.
