I am a descendant from this same line of Dorsey's.
I just received a 31-page book excerpt entitled, "The Dorsey Heritage," second segment, from the "Maryland's Royal Line" series. It is from the Baltimore County Maryland, Historical Society Collection. This segement traces the Dorsey line for 78 generations from Dr. Caleb Dorsey, Jr. [and his siblings] to the Caesars in the Roman Empire, BC.Along the way it goes through King Edward III's son, John of Gaunt, Earl of Lancaster (the Red Rose in the War of the Roses), through the Plantagenet's, to Geoffery Plantagenet V, and up through Charlemagne's son, Pepin.
