Hello family of George Dorrance; I collect antiques of the war of 1812 and Revolutionary war and I came accross a leather antique purse which a very old letter is included with this item. The letter states that the purse was taked off of George Dorrance at the Wyoming masaccre July 2, 1778 by a David French of Finch and had been in the family of the Tubbs ever since. In Westfield N.Y. 1882. It is in good condition and the price is either $175.00 or 275.00 I can't remember exactly. I just saw it at the Clarence Antique Mall in New York state. This is a suburb of Buffalo. You can contact me if you are interested I have the mans card.
