Thanks for responding. I also have a Martha G. Dorr who was married to John Frederick Phillips in 1810. I have her ancestry back to Edward and Joseph Dorr in the 1600's. I assume Dolly will connect to this same family at some point.

Eli F. Allen Jr. was born about 1855. He was most likely born in Cherryfield, Maine because his father, Eli Sr. was born and died in Cherryfield. The grandfather of Eli Allen Jr. is John Allen who died in Cherryfield on March 3, 1825. I think he drowned in a lake or river. This John Allen probably is the immigrant Allen as there is a census (for 1 of his children I think) that states he was born in England.
