My gggggrandfather is James T. Dorman who married Emily Mothershed, he was 52 and she was 50 on the 1860 census of Lowndes Co., AL, the reason I think there may be a connection is that their son-in-law John Hollingshead married Louisa Dorman and their son my gggrandfather Thomas Hollingshead and wife Mary Ann Beasley had at least 7 daughters and one was named Vidette, my grandmother was Vianna Hollingshead and another daughter was named Annette.
