I am researching Mason Dorman (b. 1804 SC) who was living in AL on the 1850 census. I believe he was married to Rachel. They several children, with a son named John Alphy Dorman (b. 1841 AL, d. approx. 1879 TX). John A. was married to Angelina J. "Ment" Hightower and they moved to TX in the 1870's. John drown in Larison Creek in Madison County, TX prior to 1880. John A. and Ment had several children, with one being John Jackson Dorman (b. 1869 AL, d. 1933 TX). John J. married Mary Elizabeth "Mamie" Kelton in Madison Co., TX where they lived and raised a family.

I believe Mason's father was Benjamin Dorman (b. approx. 1770's), who lived in Horry Co., SC.

I am particularly looking for information on Benjamin Dorman. Any information on Benjamin or Mason Dorman is greatly appreciated.
